Hello! For seven years I taught second grade at Philipsburg Elementary and now I am the Elementary Literacy Interventionist. I am thrilled to embark on this new challenge and focus on my passion - helping students to improve their reading and writing and to love reading and writing.
I graduated from the University of Montana-Western with a degree in Elementary Education and a minor in K-12 Literacy. Recently I graduated with my Masters of Literacy Education from Hamline University in 2020. I love to read and love to teach it, as well as reading the research behind teaching literacy so students are receiving effective instruction.
When not teaching I am involved with our school garden, as well as reading, hiking, rafting, and skiing. I can also be found volunteering frequently at community events, especially with our local ice rink.
