Born and raised in Plentywood Montana, I graduated in 1999 from PHS. I attended the University of Montana in Missoula, where I earned my History Degree, I returned a year later to get my teaching certificate, along with a math teaching minor. After teaching in Las Vegas for two years, we moved back to Montana to run a bowling alley in Shelby, MT for almost ten years! After deciding to get back into teaching, I took the math teaching job here in Philipsburg. I enjoy watching my math students master a subject but I also enjoy the discussions we have in our history classrooms.
Personally, I am passionate about hiking, writing, and taking photos. When it comes to students, I am excited to find them career paths that are associated with math, and encourage those kids to pursue their academic goals, regardless of mathematical ability.
