Dear Families,
Granite High School and the Healthy Granite County Network have combined financial resources to bring in speaker John Halligan. Mr. Halligan will be at GHS on Tuesday, April 15th at 10:00 am to speak to grades 6th-12th about the detrimental effects of bullying and cyberbullying along with teen suicide. Mr. Halligan will speak to his own experience as a parent whose 13-year-old son who took his own life in 2003 after experiencing bullying from his peers since the 5th grade both at school and online. Mr. Halligan story is riveting and compelling and reminds students that there is a face, a person and a heart on the other end of the screen.
Parents and community members are welcome to attend the event if they so choose. We ask only for a mature audience and the utmost respect to this subject matter if you do plan to attend. This presentation will start promptly at 10:00 am and should last about one hour. Doors will be open ten minutes prior to the start of the assembly and closed after the assembly begins.

Ramsey Smith and Jake Dauenhauer were nominated and selected as alternates as well. Congratulations!
